We Need A Strong God: In the Bible

Kirk Franklin has a song out in which he says, "We need a strong  God, we need a real God", well I take exception to this because as Christians, don't we already have a strong God, a real God?  Why isn't he saying, we have a strong God a real God?  What god is Kirk Franklin referring to, when he is supposedly a Christian minister/artist.  It seems to me that Franklin is hell-bent on switching gods and choosing a new god.  Are we being introduced to the antichrist through seemingly Christian music?  Franklin asks in the song, "Who going to save the babies?", doesn't he know that Christ died for them.  Franklin says that he needs a god with resurrection power from the grave; don't we already have a God with resurrection power from the grave; now let's be careful here because the bible says that the Antichrist will survive a deadly head wound, he will literally be resurrected from the grave, mirroring Christ's resurrection, and all the world will wonder after the beast[Revelation 13:3].  Franklin is setting the people up to be deceived.  This just isn't Christian music!  The lyrics from the song are below, along with my comments...

Mayday, mayday (yeah)The Earth is shaking (yeah)

Who gonna save the babies (yeah)

(Jesus saves all his children)

From another Bloody Sunday?

I'm singing mayday, mayday (yeah)

They love me or they hate me (yeah)

For my skin color (yeah)

But you say I am your brother, yeah

(We are all brothers and sisters in Christ)

The government keep lying to me

Telling me that they gonna set the people free

(Only God can make you free) [John 8:32]

Cut the power phones when you catch us on our knees

Heaven please, we're in a state of emergency

See we need a strong God, yeah

(Jehovah is a strong God, we already have a strong God)  [Proverbs 18:10]

We need the real God, yeah

(Jehovah is the real God)

The God with the resurrection power from the grave

To take away the hate, to heal the human race, yeah

(Jehovah has shown his resurrection power, he has never

promised to take away hate, rather that we will be hated, and he will heal the nations)

We need a (we need a)

We need a (we need a)

We need a (we need a)

We need a strong God

See we need a (we need a)

We need a (we need a)

We need a (we need a)

Yuh, yuh, yuh

Say mayday, mayday

They say the climate changin'

The poor people in the cold

But you keep preachin' to they soul

But we don't leave 'til everybody's free

And we won't sleep 'til everybody eats (yeah, yeah)

Until lives matter (yeah)

More than tithes matter (sing!)

(The church needs to put saving souls first)

The government keep lying to me

Telling me that they gonna set the people free

Cut the power phones when you catch us on our knees

Heaven please, we're in a state of emergency

See we need a strong God, real strong, yeah

We need the real God, yeah, yeah

The God with the resurrection power from the grave

To take away the hate, to heal the human race

See we need a (we need a)

We need a (we need a)

We need a (we need a)

We need a strong God

See we need a (we need a)

We need a (we need a)

We need a (we need a)

The Law of Faith

The Law of Faith: You must believe the witness of God and accept Jesus as your Lord & Savior [1 John 5:10-13]. If you have accepted Christ, repented of all sin, and have been baptised, then you are saved, and no one can tell you that you are not saved; it falls upon you to workout your salvation [Philippians 2:12]. By this I mean that the holy spirit is given unto you to teach you all things and show you all things, it helps you to live a godly life by convicting you when you transgress the will of God. In laymens terms the holy spirits tells you when you are wrong[John 16:5-15] this leads you to repent of sin.

Again, no man can tell you that you are not saved, once you have accepted Jesus Christ as Lord.  However the wise will understand the truth that follows. There will come a day when Jesus Christ himself must confirm your salvation, this is the second part of salvation [1 Corinthians 1:5-8]. You have read correctly, one day you will stand before Jesus Christ and it falls upon Jesus to state whether or not you are truly saved and can enter into the Kingdom of God.  (Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.)[Matthew 7:21-23].

These are the true saying of God my friends. I am a writer and have written several books in Jesus' name, but it doesn't matter if I write 100 books or preach 10,000 sermons; if I have not worked out my salvation in accordance with the will of God, then I will be doomed to hell. I would merely be another lost soul in hell who thought that works could get him into the Kingdom of God, when they can't.  Read the book of Romans and Paul will tell you 1000 times that the grace of God by faith in Jesus Christ is what gets a man into heaven not works[Romans 3:19-25].

So what can you do to ensure that Jesus will confirm your salvation at the appointed time? My advice is to remain under the grace of God, seek God with your whole heart, love God above all else, and listen to his holy spirit when it convicts you of sin. Repent and change your ways immediately, and Jesus will gladly confirm your salvation.  The bible says that there are certain traits that accompany salvation [1 Timothy 6:11-14].  David was not perfect, but God said that his heart was perfect because as soon as David sinned he repented and did not continue to commit the same sin[1 Kings 11:4].

This is our faith: believe God, accept Jesus as Lord & Savior, be baptized, and live a godly life; repenting of sin daily, knowing that the blood of Jesus Christ forgives all sin, covers all sin [Romans 4:6-12].  Do these things and you have kept the law of faith.

A New Law:
-The Law of False Doctrine: Sound Doctrine saves and False Doctrine condemns [1 Timothy 4:16].  The bible says that in the last days people will bring to themselves preachers who preach false doctrine [1Timothy 4:1-5].  The basic tenant of the bible says that a new law enters, to do away with the old law [Hebrews 8:13].  The current law is the Law of Faith in Jesus Christ, God's law.  So why would anyone preach false doctrine?  I told you, to do away with God's law.  But false doctrine has always been around right?  It has been around, but the key is this, the bible says that God's Law, The Law of Faith, will be done away with when the antichrist comes onto the scene.  A change in doctrine, doing away with the Law of Faith in Jesus Christ, is a sign of the times we are in.

Be Wise Men

[Matthew 10:16]

Let’s take a different look at the Christmas Story and see how we ourselves can learn from the mistakes Herod made.  We find in Matthew 2 that Herod, acting in the form of the Antichrist wanted to stop God's plan for the Messiah's birth and salvation of the world.  Jesus himself said that there will be many Antichrists [1 John 2:18]; Herod was the Antichrist of the moment; however I wish to discuss here what all Antichrist have in common.

We inherently know that [1] they are against Christ, hence the term Antichrist, but let's look at what that means. A believer puts God first, [2] the spirit of Antichrist loves the world; a believer fears God and keeps his commandments, which is wisdom at its fullest [3] while the spirit of Antichrist is full of pride.

[1]-Herod displays all three of these traits in the 2nd chapter of Matthew.  Herod proves that he is against Christ, against God's plan, when he desires and attempts to have the child (baby Jesus) killed [Matthew 2:16].

[2]-Herod loved the world; he loved his power, his throne, and would not relinquish it to Christ.  In Psalms 10:4-8, David describes the wicked man as thus: "4The wicked, through the pride of his countenance, will not seek after God: God is not in all his thoughts.  5His ways are always grievous; thy judgments are far above out of his sight: as for all his enemies, he puffeth at them.  6He hath said in his heart, I shall not be moved: for I shall never be in adversity.  7His mouth is full of cursing and deceit and fraud: under his tongue is mischief and vanity.  8He sitteth in the lurking places of the villages: in the secret places doth he murder the innocent: his eyes are privily set against the poor."  Here, in these four verses, we find a correlation between the Antichrist spirit and pride; there are many such correlations in the bible.  In Hosea 7:10 we find that the prideful are told to return to God, which shows that their pride puts them in opposition with God.  We also find again, in Psalms 10:4-8, a startling description of a wicked man’s actions, which match Herod’s actions.  Herod has not saught after God; he puffed at God; he has said in his heart that he will not be moved, will not give up his throne to Jesus; Herod could not see God’s judgment of him, he was totally caught off guard when the wise men did not return; his mouth was full of fraud, due to his lies; finally Herod has murdered innocent children and fulfilled all of the actions which David has attributed to the wicked.

[3]-Herod has shown his pride in several ways; first he has denied God, he has said in his heart that there is no God; if Herod had believed in God he never would have tried to kill God’s anointed Savior.  If Herod did believe in God, he still showed his pride because he thought that he could stop God’s plan.  He basically asked the priests in[Matthew 2:4], “where will God’s anointed be born, so that I can kill him?”  That’s Pride!  Secondly we find that Herod is upset when he finds out that he could not deceive the “Wise Men” and has in fact been tricked by them [Matthew 2:16].  Now if that’s not pride I don’t know what is:)  Herod is upset because he could not trick the wise men; his pride led him to believe that he was wiser than the wise men.  I’m sorry but that’s just funny to me.

Jesus says in:
[1 John 2:22] Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son.
We find that Herod lies in Matthew 2:7 even as he denies Christ, and tells the wise men that he only wants to come and worship the child, when in his heart he has already planned to have Jesus killed.  If Herod had accepted Christ, there would be no desire to have him killed.

The wise men proved themselves wise, and men of God, because they [1] believed God by following the star to Jesus [Matthew 2:9]; [2] listened to God and abided by the warning they received by not returning to Herod [Matthew 2:12 ]; [3] they overcame the world, they saw through Herod's deceit and received Christ [1 Corinthians 2:14].

I can give all the scripture and examples in the world and that will not be enough to convince some people, but to those that do believe that Jesus is the all powerful, God’s Son, and Savior of the world; I charge you; I compel you to be “wise men”.  Believe God, accept Christ, and do not return the way you came.
