Occult Activity Borderlands 2 Video Game

Can you judge a book by its cover, or in this case a video game by the box-art? You may not realize it, but this guy is blowing his brains out!

There is a widely popular video game out called Borderlands 2, which is on several consoles (xbox 360, ps3, PC); in this game there is a lot of occult imagery.  At the 1:30 mark on the video, the player has to blow a satanic horn in order to summon a monster to fight.  This kind of thing is in every level of the game.  This video shows a young boy actually playing the game; he looks kinda young to be playing such a bloody, graphic game.

There is also a part of the game where a young girl is introduced to help the player complete a mission.  Take a look at what they have her doing on there.  video

There is even a portion of the game where they introduce beings called Seraphs.  Wikipedia defines Seraphs as:
A seraph; Literally "burning ones", the word seraph is normally a synonym for serpents when used in the Hebrew Bible. A seminal passage in the Book of Isaiah (Isaiah 6:1-8) used the term to describe fiery six-winged beings that fly around God's throne singing "holy, holy, holy". This throne scene, with its triple invocation of holiness (a formula that came to be known as the Trisagion), profoundly influenced subsequent theology, literature and art.  Its influence is frequently seen in works depicting angels, heaven and apotheosis. Seraphs are mentioned as celestial beings in an influential Hellenistic work, the Book of Enoch, and the Book of Revelation. Tradition places seraphs in the fifth rank of ten in the Jewish angelic hierarchy and the highest rank in the Christian angelic hierarchy.  This video shows in game footage.

Being Responsible and Having Accountability

This blog post will probably be a little non-linear and it will include a few things that you will probably never hear in church, but as always, I'm here to give it to you straight.

I was at church on yesterday and the pastor said a few things that I feel need further reflection; this is not an examination of his points, its highlighting the points that will never be made from the pulpit.  He was discussing accountability and my first thoughts went to Jesus, as they always do.  In the Pharisee's minds they held Jesus accountable for breaking their laws(even though he did not break any law); one of the accusations was that Jesus claimed that he was the Son of God.  Jesus is of course the Son of God, for Jesus to say otherwise would be lying, and yet he was held accountable by men and sentenced to death for being exactly who he claimed to be and being completely honest. [Luke 22:66-71] (think on that for a moment)

He was killed (held accountable by the Pharisee's) for saying that He was the Son of God.  How many innocent people are in prison today?  Here is a link for a guy I follow on YouTube, he may go to jail today for trying to fulfill his duty as a watchman; the link is to his last broadcast, its kinda sad.

We are often told that we have no excuses, even though many people are unjustly treated and given titles that they have not earned.  One of the 10 commandments is, not to bear false witness against other people, and yet somehow people believe that this kind of thing never happens.  If it didn't happen there wouldn't be a commandment addressing it.

Here is another point that you will never hear in church: King Saul was commanded by God to defeat a set of people and kill them all, and their livestock, and take nothing from them.  Saul, spared their King's life and kept their gold (to supposedly tithe to God).  Because of this God renounced him as King and told him that Obedience is better than Sacrifice [1 Samuel 15].  As you obey God don't worry about how man holds you accountable, because we will all stand before Jesus one day for true judgment.

As the pastor closed on yesterday he led the congregation in a prayer to Jesus; he started by saying "Dear Jesus", in an innocent childlike voice and the audience was captivated by it, but I was disgusted because he did not follow the commandment of God.  The pastor made a point on yesterday to remind us to tithe, however he wrongly set the example on how to pray.  The disciples asked Jesus how to pray and Jesus told them to PRAY TO THE FATHER IN HIS NAME.  Remember obedience is better than sacrifice and yet the pastor cared more about the sacrifice(tithe) than being obedient.  What about the person that went home last night and prayed to Jesus, following his example.  Remember God, could not stand Saul because he disobeyed him.

Someone will no doubt feel that it doesn't matter because God and Jesus are one, however they asked Jesus to tell them how to pray and Jesus said to Pray to the Father [Luke 11:1-4].  Christians should obey Christ.

Now You See Me

"Now You See Me"
What does the phrase mean to you? Well, there are several things that come to mind when i hear the phrase:

[1]-Now you see me, now you don't: could be a reference to the rapture, because Christians will dissapear.  [Luke 17:34].

[2]-There are some who believe that we are in "the matrix" and can't see the hidden controllers. A CISCO commercial famously states, "we're going to wake the world up and see what happens." If you were "woken up" you would be able to see the truth, it would stand right in front of you and say, "now you see me"

[3]-The bible talks about the Antichrist "revealing himself" to the world [2 Thessalonians 2:1-4]. Is it time?

[4]-Now you see me, now you don't; It could be a reference to a magic trick where something disappears, ya think!

In the movie, Now you See Me, several illusionists known as "The Four Horsemen" commit a series of daring heists against corrupt business leaders, and shower the stolen profits on their audiences while staying one step ahead of the FBI agents that are trying to nail them.

So what does it mean to you, is it just a movie? Download my free eBook here.

Godzilla in the Bible

We know the story, a monster rises out of the sea and attacks Tokyo/New York. Terror ensues, our military is destroyed: cities are destroyed. The original 1954 movie was remade in 1998, and what-do-ya-know, there is another movie scheduled for 2014.
In the bible the sea represents humanity so how can a beast rise up out of humanity(the sea)? Well an army made up of several nations would fit the bill, but what nation would be in charge? Well all of them would be, kinda like the United Nations.

So is there a description of such a thing in the bible? Well sure there is : [Revelation 13:1] (And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy.) the heads represent countries...

Ok so the United States has the greatest army in the world, not even the UN could take us out. Well, that's true but remember, Godzilla arrives after a nuclear blast! Think about it, we would be easily subdued after a few well-placed bombs. A "peacekeeping force" could come in and impose martial law.

There are actually several other ways for the UN to takeover peacefully:

  1. China/Russia/Others could file a grievance for the 10-14 trillion dollars that we owe them and the UN could impose martial law until the debt is mediated/paid.
  2. If the US breaks environmental or human rights regulations that it is bound by under UN treaty, then the UN has the right/power to occupy America. (no nukes needed in either scenario)

The purpose of this article is to get people thinking, wakeup!

America is not Babylon

I have seen many reports and listened to many sermons in which the united states is called Babylon, this characterization is not correct.  In the bible, Israel is the woman in Revelations Chapter 12.  Christians (in this case Americans) are the seed of the woman.  So what does the bible say?  Let's look at Revelations 14:8.

And there followed another angel, saying, Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city, because she made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of  her fornication [Revelation 14:8].   So since Jehovah God calls Babylon a city, why are we to believe that Babylon is the United States?  Why would you read a book and believe an author that clearly is in opposition to God's word by calling Babylon a Country, when it is called a city in the bible?  Now with that said, the bible does name daughters of Babylon: for example some of the tribes of Israel were called the daughters of Babylon because they did not follow after Abraham's example  [Jeremiah 3:6-10][Ezekiel 16].

So who/where is Babylon and who is the daughter of Babylon?  Well last I checked Babylon is where its always been, in Iraq.  Now the daughter of Babylon could be many cities in truth.  She could be Egypt, Damascus, Rome, Moscow, London, or even New York, because the Babylonian System of government and traditions is in all of these cities and their ruling countries.  New York Harbor is called Babylon, just saying.

The real prophecy concerning the United States is found in [Daniel 7:4]. Here we see a lion with eagle's wings.  Britain is the lion and the United States is represented by the eagle, the wings of the eagle are on the lion's back; it has eagle's wings, that are eventually plucked off. I believe this means that the US will be separated from Britian by force and I'm not referring to the war for Independence.  There is destruction coming to the US, but not in the way we have been led to believe.  It's important to know the truth, instead of falling for the deception. The United States in spiritual Egypt [Deuteronomy 28:68].  Look at our money, look at all of the obelisks and pyramids in this country.

While I agree the America's leaders are corrupt and most of them pretend to be Christians, just as Constantine did, that does not make the people of this nation corrupt.  We are constantly targeted and presented with alternative lifestyles by our leaders, because they wish to corrupt the Christians of this country.  The bible says that there has to be a great falling away from the faith, before the end comes [2 Thessalonians 2:3], and that is their goal.  To bring about the end.
This is their goal, because they view it as a new beginning, a golden age, because they worship the fallen ones.  There is a book called, The Harbinger, where the author calls America the daughter of Babylon and calls for our repentance in order to prevent the country from being destroyed.  He cites a slew of events which were all carried out by our own government and hails them to be signs from God, that we are near judgment because of our sins.  In truth the same corrupt individuals who brought about these horrific attacks are the ones who corn-fed him this material to place in the book.  These are not signs from God, these are elaborately planned and staged events from men.

So you have read this far and you say, "I don't care what you say, the United States is Babylon!"  Well ok, why are you still here?  The bible commands Christians to come out of Babylon, to avoid its judgment and plagues [Revelation 18:4].

Christians are the seed of the woman, we are not Babylon's daughter, although many have gone a long way to make us believe that we are Babylonians, we are not.  Christians are not in the world, in the first place, we are set apart.  [John 17:13-19]  (And now come I to thee; and these things I speak in the world, that they might have my joy fulfilled in themselves. I have given them thy word; and the world hath hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil. They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth. As thou hast sent me into the world, even so have I also sent them into the world. And for their sakes I sanctify myself, that they also might be sanctified through the truth.)

These supposed harbingers are all staged; there is nothing eerie or  prophetic about planned events: Its our leaders who should repent!  I have no doubt that there will be another attack upon this country, a devastating attack, but this attack cannot be prevented, that's the truth; its how things have to be [Matthew 24:6].  This attack will happen, but you can escape it, by being saved, that is the only way.  Running to another country will not help you to escape these times.  Even if a Christian lives in Babylon, that doesn't make him a son/daughter of Babylon.  Lot lived in Sodom, but was saved because he kept the law of God [Genesis 19].

  • Israel is the only nation that God setup: they are his people period.
  • An enemy did not strike our land, our own people did
  • Christians do not have to repent (we already repent daily), our leaders should
  • Christians did not say "we remember, we rebuild, we come back stronger", the president did

Every so called harbinger noted by this guy, cannot be attributed to Christians; if anything our leaders should repent.

  • Our Leaders have defied God
  • They have made the vows
  • They have made laws in direct opposition to the laws of God
  • They have withheld true judgment
  • The purpose of The Harbinger is to scare and mislead Christians

We are Christians, we repent daily!

The Wedding Supper

Blessed are those who are invited to the wedding supper of the lamb [Revelation 19:9].  I have experienced first hand how many Christians don't believe in the rapture, however there can be a compelling case made for an imminent rapture.

Logical Rapture Timeline
The Lord's Days

People claim to believe in God but don't believe in what Jesus said:  [Luke 21:34-36]  (34 And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares.  35 For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth.  36 Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.)

And what exactly are we trying to escape? That would be the time of testing aka the tribulation period. [Matthew 24] Signs of the end of the age:  There are many signs of the times occurring here lately:

  • Earthquakes -we have seen earthquakes in India, Japan, Chile; all within the last month vid2
  • Famine -all over the world more and more people go hungry; 1/4 children in this country go hungry everyday.
  • Pestilence -worms, locust, cicadas are all decimating crops; the cicadas are swarming in the united states.
  • Floods -the Midwest of the US has seen a ton of flooding lately vid.
  • Signs in the Sun & Moon -the sun has never emitted this much radiation.
  • Animals dying -schools of animals are dying mysteriously all over the world vid2
  • Wars and rumors of Wars -Iraq, Iran, Syria, Korea; this is a war torn world.
  • Saints murdered (throughout history, more murders to come)

Please accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior; he is the only way.  The only way to escape all of these things...[Luke 21:36]

INDIGO ADULTS AND CHILDREN

I recently wrote a book about Indigo adults and children and want to supplement it a bit.  When I use the term Indigo, I am referring to a label in which the world has used.  I am a Christian first and foremost, however I am also called to relate to my fellowman by all means available . At the end of the day my completeness is in Christ .

In my book I discuss the characteristic traits that define and are associated with Indigo adults and children.  I also give some advice to Indigos.  Indigos are Christians that are given specific missions in these end-times to help the brethren.

Indigos are often misunderstood because they don't conform with the normally accepted view of what a "normal" person is; how he thinks; nor does he possess normal views of the world and its system of government.  Indigos are naturally inquisitive and will not begin a task without knowing why the task is important or why they should devote their time to it.  Indigos are very instinctive and perceptive and can have heightened abilities which stem from increased senses these could entail the; ability to read minds, and the ability to learn by touch.  Yes, Indigos can learn extremely technical skills by simply being in close proximity to experts in that field.  Please read my book, to learn more about my personal experiences as an Indigo.

Video Games in Current Events

There are many people that believe that the rulers of this world hide a lot of their intentions all around us.  In this blog post I wish to discuss a few coincidences that I have seen, and if I get good feedback from you guys I will do some more of this kind of thing in the future.  We are currently in the age of the Holy Spirit, the church age, or what the world calls the fourth age.
Nebuchadnezzar dreamed of five ages or kingdoms[Daniel 2].  His kingdom was the first age.  The 4th age began with the Holy Spirit, and is the church age; in this age everyone must be preached the gospel of Jesus Christ, before it ends.

The 5th age begins when the Holy Spirit leaves the earth and judgment begins with the four horsemen being released, with caious (The Joker) being released upon the earth.  [2 Thessalonians 2:1-8].  The 5th age is also a symbol of the Templars (V).

Two years ago a video game called Homefront was released on several consoles (xbox360, ps3, PC).  In the game, North Korea attacked the United States with an EMP.  The EMP caused all electrical devices to be rendered useless, left the US without power, and made the Korean evasion relatively easy.  This was the beginning of WW3.  Here are a few videos that show the story.
Video 1
Video 2
Video 3

Now the media has repeatedly told us that the Koreans cannot attack the US mainland with a missile, because they don't have one that will fly that far.  However, they never look at the possibility of a missile being launched from a submarine.  Funny how a video game has considered this and not our military.

There are people who believe that the Sumerian gods are returning to the earth, as what we might view as aliens; however these are actually demons carrying about the great deception [2 Thessalonians 2:11].  There is a video game that just released called Injustice Gods Among US.  In the game, the Joker sets off a nuke after destroying Superman's family (Superman (S)=Satan).  Superman goes crazy, kills the Joker, then conquers the earth and turns the earth into a military state. The people that made this game know that war is coming, that's why Aries, the god of war, is included as one of the characters on the game.  We know from the bible that Satan's son, the Antichrist  will be killed and resurrected [Revelation 13:3].  Then the world will be ruled by one man.

Video 1  Can you see the (V) for the 5th age at the 0:35 second mark?  Oh yeah the movie Oblivion Video A is about the same thing, fyi...people in white leaving the people in black behind...I watched the movie and the first thing you see when it starts is the (V) in Obli(V)ion, then the camera pans out from there; 5th age.
Video 2
In the new Superman movie, the people in black, want to claim the earth for themselves and kill all the earthlings.  They want to rebuild Krypton.

Too Late

There are times in our lives that we figure things out when its too late, however there are plans that must be made for our eternal security that need to be made now.  For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation [2 Corinthians 6:2].

We find in [Acts 16:22-24] that Paul and Silas were imprisoned, Paul had angered some merchants when he freed a young woman from possession.  These merchants derived their living by exploiting the  possessed girl's ability to tell fortunes.  Her owners delivered Paul and Silas to the magistrates, who had  Paul and Silas beaten and thrown into prison.  Now Paul and Silas could have said, "Its been a long day and we have been wrongly accused and beaten; let's go to bed and start tomorrow fresh."  But they didn't do that, the bible says that at Midnight Paul and Silas prayed and sang praises to God [Acts 16:25-26] and suddenly an earthquake shook the prison and loosed everyone from their bonds and opened all the cells.

The keeper of the prison was so distraught because he thought that all the prisoners had escaped that he took his sword and planned to kill himself, because he knew that if one prisoner escaped that he would have to pay for it with his life.  It is here that Paul stopped him from leaving this life without eternal security.  Paul said, "Do thyself no harm: for we are all here."  The keeper of the prison immediately asked them, "Sirs, what must I do to be saved?"  Isn't this counter intuitive, this is the same man that planned to kill himself mere moments earlier, and now he has come to the realization that he wants to be saved before it is too late.

Paul and Silas responded by saying, "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house."  Isn't it great to realize that a saved person will persist until he convinces his entire family to be saved.  Now again, Paul and Silas didn't waste any time; they preached the word of God to the keeper and his family that very night, and also baptized them.  Isn't it great to realize the timeliness in which the apostles worked within; they didn't put anything off until tomorrow; they acted swiftly, moved by fear of losing one soul.

Will you act swiftly now and accept Christ Jesus, or will you wait until its too late?

Overcome Evil with Good

There are still a good bit of prejudices in this world, and as long as men keep and nurture these prejudices then we know that the adversary is still resisting the call of the church.  Christians are commanded to be neighborly and treat all men with charity and kindness.  When Jesus walked the earth, the Jews considered the Samaritans to be unclean and would not fellowship with them.  They would not even so much as drink a glass of water from a Samaritan's cup.

We find in John chapter 4, that Jesus was traveling to Galilee and had to pass through Samaria.  Jesus and his disciples came near a parcel of land that Jacob had ceded to his son Joseph, which had a well there.  The disciples went into town and Jesus waited at the well for them to return with food.  At noon a Samaritan woman came to the well to draw water out and Jesus said unto her, "Give me to drink."[John 4:7]  The woman asked Jesus how could he, a Jew, ask her a Samaritan to drink water from her waterpot; she knew that if Jesus drank from her waterpot, that he would be considered unclean, because she being a Samaritan was considered unclean.

We find here that, even though this is water from a well that Jacob dug and left to his son Joseph, the same Jacob that had the promises of God, the same Jacob that dug the well, drank from the well, and left blessings to his seed; Jacob left the well to the Samaritans, so how could this water be considered unclean?  Jesus had already said that there is nothing that enters the body that can make a person unclean [Mark 7:15].  The water wasn't unclean, the waterpot wasn't unclean, but somehow the person handing the water to you, could somehow make it unclean.  Isn't that how racism works; a segment of people are ostracized for some unimportant reason, and are hated and mistreated for something that they can't even control.   People who if you look back far enough on their family tree are related to the people, that hate them.  The woman then reminds Jesus that the Jews have no dealing with the Samaritans.  Have you ever said, "I don't want anything to do with that person?"  This type of attitude goes against the mind of Christ.  So how does Jesus respond to this situation?

Jesus overcomes: [1] the hatred the Samaritan woman has for the Jews, which was based on how she had been treated; [2] the woman's perception of what cleanness is and the incorrect idea that something unclean can make what God has made clean, to be unclean [Acts 10:15].  Jesus bassicly tell her, I am the Holy One of God, neither you nor anything else can make me unclean.  I am here to make you clean.  Jesus tells her, "If thou knewest the gift of God, and who it is that saith to thee, Give me to drink; thou wouldest have asked of him, and he would have given thee living water." [John 4:10].  Jesus overcomes her prejudices by giving her the word of God and offering her the gift of salvation.  The woman tells Jesus, that she must have this gift, the living water that Jesus spoke of.

The word is a powerful thing my friends and at the end of the day, its anointing is the only thing that can overcome the things that truly make us unclean like racism;  "And he said, That which cometh out of the man, that defileth the man. For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts,
adulteries, fornications, murders, Thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lasciviousness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness: All these evil things come from within, and defile the man."  [Mark 7:20-23]

Who is Greater?

There are instances in the bible where the disciples disputed with each other about who would be greater in the kingdom of God [Luke 9:46].  Often times we see that today in churches, when members of one church begin to feel that their pastor is better than another pastor; sometimes its even the pastors themselves tooting their own horns, but what does the bible say about this?  When these types of disputes arouse, Jesus brought forth a child and set him before his disciples and said, "Whosoever shall receive this child in my name receiveth me: and whosoever shall receive me receiveth him that sent me: for he that is least among you all, the same shall be great." [Luke 9:48]

There was also an instance where John's disciples came to question Jesus as to whether or not he was the Messiah [Matthew 11].  After receiving their answer, Jesus told them to return to John.  But wait...why didn't they stay with Jesus like Peter[John 1], another one of John's disciples did?  This is Jesus we're talking about here, shouldn't he have a mega-church?  Yes, the disciples needed to send word to John, but why send all of them back to John?  Jesus would never have told them to return to John if John was working outside of Christ's spirit of soul saving.  Jesus had already said, "No man, having put his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God" [Luke 9:62].  So, going back to John could not be somehow conceived as walking away from Christ, even though technically that's what they did, lol.

There is another account where the disciples told Jesus that they saw a man casting out spirits in Jesus's name and they stopped him, forbid him from doing so.  Jesus told them "Forbid him not: for he that is not against us is for us."  (Us) what an appropriate term, because there is no big me or little you in the Kingdom of God; we are all one.  To think of oneself above others, is worldly thinking and Christ's Kingdom is not of this world.  Jesus said, "  My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence" [John 18:36].  God's servants do not fight amongst themselves because the kingdom of God is not divided [Luke 11].

Servants of God and Jesus Christ all have the same command, because we all have the same ability to accomplish the command of God on our life, there should not be any reverence of persons.  Servants of God and Jesus Christ are commanded: Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned [Mark 16:15-16].

Every servant of God has the ability to testify of Christ Jesus.

Bread In The Wilderness

In Mark 8 we find a well known miracle performed by Jesus; the four thousand being fed.  However there had to be a choice made by the disciples to not only [1]share what they had, they also had to [2]trust Jesus with what they had.

Have you ever had company over to your house and said to yourself, (I wish that they would hurry up and leave so I can get me something to eat.  I would gladly share but I don't have enough to give everyone)  I assure you that I understand this because I have been on both sides of the situation, lol.

But Jesus saw things so much differently than we do, he said: "I have compassion on the multitude, because they have now been with me three days, and have nothing to eat:"[Mark 8:2]  Now, I must say here that there are some people who won't leave until you give them something to eat, lol.  The bible talks about these sorts of people also.  However, here we find people that have traveled great distances to follow Jesus and be healed, they have stayed for his ministering word, and now are too weak to leave.  Have you ever been exposed to the word, and fellowshiped so long, that you lost track of time?

Jesus had compassion on the multitude but his disciples experienced helplessness, they felt powerless to do anything about the situation.  (And his disciples answered him, from whence can a man satisfy these men with bread here in the wilderness?)[Mark 8:4].  Now that is an extremely hard hearted statement my friends, the disciples should have known by that point, that all good things come from God! [James 1:17].   God can take the little that we have and to exceedingly, abundantly more with it than we can even think to ask [Ephesians 3:20].  Jesus chose that moment to do the works of the father[John 5:19] and commanded his disciples to bring him what bread they had [Mark 8:5].  We find here that in obeying the command from Jesus, the disciples also found a few small fishes[Mark 8:7].  Isn't that amazing, because the disciples followed the command, they found so much more than they had hoped to find, and what they had and found turned out to be a blessing to others [Mark 8:8-9].  Because the disciples were willing to share what they had, God left them with more than they had in the end.  What started as seven loaves and a few fishes, fed four thousand hungry people, and what was left was seven baskets of food.  See what can be done when we take what we have and put it in the master's hand; its his anyway.

How many people are broke today because they trusted a banker or some other wall street type with their money; when you place what you have in God's hand, you don't ever  have to worry about loosing what you have.  You will find more than you thought you had, you will even find bread in the wilderness.

Be Wise Men

[Matthew 10:16]

Let’s take a different look at the Christmas Story and see how we ourselves can learn from the mistakes Herod made.  We find in Matthew 2 that Herod, acting in the form of the Antichrist wanted to stop God's plan for the Messiah's birth and salvation of the world.  Jesus himself said that there will be many Antichrists [1 John 2:18]; Herod was the Antichrist of the moment; however I wish to discuss here what all Antichrist have in common.

We inherently know that [1] they are against Christ, hence the term Antichrist, but let's look at what that means. A believer puts God first, [2] the spirit of Antichrist loves the world; a believer fears God and keeps his commandments, which is wisdom at its fullest [3] while the spirit of Antichrist is full of pride.

[1]-Herod displays all three of these traits in the 2nd chapter of Matthew.  Herod proves that he is against Christ, against God's plan, when he desires and attempts to have the child (baby Jesus) killed [Matthew 2:16].

[2]-Herod loved the world; he loved his power, his throne, and would not relinquish it to Christ.  In Psalms 10:4-8, David describes the wicked man as thus: "4The wicked, through the pride of his countenance, will not seek after God: God is not in all his thoughts.  5His ways are always grievous; thy judgments are far above out of his sight: as for all his enemies, he puffeth at them.  6He hath said in his heart, I shall not be moved: for I shall never be in adversity.  7His mouth is full of cursing and deceit and fraud: under his tongue is mischief and vanity.  8He sitteth in the lurking places of the villages: in the secret places doth he murder the innocent: his eyes are privily set against the poor."  Here, in these four verses, we find a correlation between the Antichrist spirit and pride; there are many such correlations in the bible.  In Hosea 7:10 we find that the prideful are told to return to God, which shows that their pride puts them in opposition with God.  We also find again, in Psalms 10:4-8, a startling description of a wicked man’s actions, which match Herod’s actions.  Herod has not saught after God; he puffed at God; he has said in his heart that he will not be moved, will not give up his throne to Jesus; Herod could not see God’s judgment of him, he was totally caught off guard when the wise men did not return; his mouth was full of fraud, due to his lies; finally Herod has murdered innocent children and fulfilled all of the actions which David has attributed to the wicked.

[3]-Herod has shown his pride in several ways; first he has denied God, he has said in his heart that there is no God; if Herod had believed in God he never would have tried to kill God’s anointed Savior.  If Herod did believe in God, he still showed his pride because he thought that he could stop God’s plan.  He basically asked the priests in[Matthew 2:4], “where will God’s anointed be born, so that I can kill him?”  That’s Pride!  Secondly we find that Herod is upset when he finds out that he could not deceive the “Wise Men” and has in fact been tricked by them [Matthew 2:16].  Now if that’s not pride I don’t know what is:)  Herod is upset because he could not trick the wise men; his pride led him to believe that he was wiser than the wise men.  I’m sorry but that’s just funny to me.

Jesus says in:
[1 John 2:22] Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son.
We find that Herod lies in Matthew 2:7 even as he denies Christ, and tells the wise men that he only wants to come and worship the child, when in his heart he has already planned to have Jesus killed.  If Herod had accepted Christ, there would be no desire to have him killed.

The wise men proved themselves wise, and men of God, because they [1] believed God by following the star to Jesus [Matthew 2:9]; [2] listened to God and abided by the warning they received by not returning to Herod [Matthew 2:12 ]; [3] they overcame the world, they saw through Herod's deceit and received Christ [1 Corinthians 2:14].

I can give all the scripture and examples in the world and that will not be enough to convince some people, but to those that do believe that Jesus is the all powerful, God’s Son, and Savior of the world; I charge you; I compel you to be “wise men”.  Believe God, accept Christ, and do not return the way you came.

Touch The Mountain

1) And I looked, and, lo, a Lamb stood on the mount Sion, and with him an hundred forty and four thousand, having his Father's name written in their foreheads. 2) And I heard a voice from heaven, as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of a great thunder: and I heard the voice of harpers harping with their harps: 3) And they sung as it were a new song before the throne, and before the four beasts, and the elders: and no man could learn that song but the hundred and forty and four thousand, which were redeemed from the earth.  [Revelations 14:1-3].

When reading this passage, one should wonder, "How can I touch the mountain of God?"  I say this because touching the mountain is not a trivial thing.  In the old testament Israel was commanded that if a man or even a beast touch the mountain of God, that it should be killed. {12) And thou shalt set bounds unto the people round about, saying, Take heed to yourselves, that ye go not up into the mount, or touch the border of it: whosoever toucheth the mount shall be surely put to death: 13) There shall not an hand touch it, but he shall surely be stoned, or shot through; whether it be beast or man, it shall not live: when the trumpet soundeth long, they shall come up to the mount. [Exodus 19:12-13]}  Paul clarifies what it means to be shot through in Hebrews 12 by saying that they should be stoned or thrust through with a spear.

You may be wondering, but how can I touch the mountain or how can a lamb stand on mount Zion without being killed?  Well, this isn't a typical lamb, this is the Lamb of God; Jesus Christ, who took away the sins of the world.  This lamb was thrust though with a spear and raised from the dead on the third day by Jehovah God.  Also, let's not forget that the people of Jerusalem attempted to stone Jesus at one point [John 8:59].  So the people attempted to stone Jesus before they finally thrust him through; wow, look how the scriptures are fulfilled in Christ.  We have the opportunity today to touch the mountain if we accept the sacrifice the lamb made for us.  Paul spells out how to accept the gift of God in Romans 10.  You must first hear the word of God and accept the truth of it, that everlasting life is gifted by the Father through Jesus Christ [John 6:40].  Don't be like Israel was; when they heard the word of salvation, they asked that it not be spoken unto them .  This is the type of person that cannot touch the mountain  of God. [Hebrews 12:19]

My goal here is not to argue whether or not we are part of the 144,000; my goal here is to tell you that nothing unclean or profane can touch the mountain of God.  The blood of Jesus Christ is the only thing that can usher you into the presence of God; you must be saved and covered with the blood of Christ if you hope to touch the mountain.  Jesus said, no man cometh to the father but by me [John 14:6]; he is the only way to God, you must go through him.  Through the veil of his flesh [Hebrews 10:20].  We must come to God, not of our flesh, but as spirits, after we have given up our lives; after we have sacrificed the physical life for a spiritual one.  [John 4:24].  The lamb has set the example for us.

Come touch the mountain:

22) But ye are come unto mount Sion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels, 23) To the general assembly and church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven, and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect, 24) And to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling, that speaketh better things than that of Abel.  25) See that ye refuse not him that speaketh. For if they escaped not who refused him that spake on earth, much more shall not we escape, if we turn away from him that speaketh from heaven: [Hebrews 12:22-25].

Cremation

I am writing this post because I have heard people, that I care deeply for say something over the years, that has occupied my mind during some sleepless nights; I am not sure that everyone will ever agree upon the correctness of cremation.  I say this because the bible clearly uses it as a form of punishment, however few can make the correct distinction between how someone was killed for violating the law, and why the manner in which they were killed affected their remains.  Simply put, they were killed in specific ways for a reason.

Again, I do not agree with cremation, because in the bible it was used as a form of punishment.  In Leviticus 20:14 the law requires that a man be put to death by burning with fire if he has sex with a mother and her daughter.  Now, because in the bible, each form of capitol punishment used had a specific purpose and meaning, it is significant that the violator's body is destroyed by fire.  In Leviticus 21:9 again burning by fire is used as a form of punishment for whoredoms committed by a priest's daughter.  Now I am sure that someone will argue that burning by fire was used as a means of killing the violators, and that it has nothing to do with dishonoring their dead bodies.  Well, let's look at another example.

Now in Joshua 7:15-26 a man named Achan, his family, and all his animals are stoned to death first, then their bodies are burned with fire, and lastly they are buried, because Achan has violated the commands of God.  Here the violators are clearly dead already before their bodies are burned/cremated.  So they are killed, cremated, and then buried.  Clearly here the destruction of their dead bodies by fire is part of the punishment.  These examples lead me to question why anyone would want their bodies purposefully cremated as a means of burial?  I am against cremation even if it is only a symbolic form of punishment.

Let's look at another example; In I Samuel 31, Saul and his sons' bodies were desecrated by the philistines after their death, which caused their friends to cremate their bodies (probably to prevent the philistines from further desecration).  Now does this support my argument against cremation?  I think so.  Remember God took the kingdom from Saul's house and turned his back on Saul (I Samuel 15), so in many ways he was similar to Achan as discussed earlier in Joshua 7:15-26. A man that has been refused by God could be considered accursed. Both Achan and Saul's house had to be cremated; even if you say that Saul's cremation was by coincidinece, I will remind you that the holy spirit works through what men percieve to be conincidence (John 11:49-52), but in truth, God is over all and controls all.  I will simply ask this question in closing.  Why suffer dishonor or worse by allowing yourself to be cremated?

Saving a Soul

I have heard this biblical saying used many times; [the saving of a soul covers a multitude of sins.]  Now, men normally refer to this saying in this regard, [if you save a man's soul you will be forgiven for your sin, the act will cover your own sins.]  I submit to you that this saying should not be used in that manner when referring to the flock of Christ.  Now I would like to state here that Jesus Christ is the central figure in resolving all questions concerning the bible, because he is the central theme of it, and fulfilled the scriptures.  Let's examine the scripture...

(My brethren, if any among you strays from the truth and one turns him back, let him know that he who turns a sinner from the error of his way will save his soul from death and will cover a multitude of sins).   [James 5:19-20]

(1)  The passage is a bit perplexing because it starts out by using the term "strays from the way" suggesting to readers today, that the person is saved but backsliding.  In referencing Ezekiel 3:20, I am only using this as a reference because Ezekiel is old testament...the person discussed was blameless concerning the law but unsaved, because salvation comes through Christ, who had not been sacrificed at that time.  Therefore James is referring to an unsaved person; sinner and unsaved are one in the same in James 5:19-20.  We are descended from God and need to be brought back to our creator, or turned back to the truth.  Let's look at the passage in another way...

(My brethren, if any among you strays from the truth and a saved person in the person of Christ turns him back, let him know that Jesus Christ will save his soul from death and salvation will cover his multitude of sins)[edited mpg remix]

Now by using Christ as the central theme of the bible and only path to salvation, we see that the saved person is acting in the person of Christ, only Christ can lead a sinner to salvation.  We also know that it is Jesus Christ saving the sinner's soul from death and this gift of salvation covers a multitude of sins.  It is Christ covering all of the repentant person's sin.  Now we know that this verse is referring completely to the sinner because the saved person(acting in the person of Christ), which led the sinner to Jesus, is already covered from sin and needs no additional covering; he is already covered by the blood of Jesus.  Peter agrees that this substitution is correct because he wrote that love covers a multitude of sins [1Peter 4:8] and Jesus is love.

Now, we know that this passage, James 5, is referring to the benefits a sinner receives when accepting Christ as Lord & Savior.  Now I will say that if this passage is used when referring to a minister as the person leading the sinner to Christ, it should be seen in a totally different light; if referring to a minister it means quite the reverse.  Explain you say, explain indeed!

Idol Worship in Video Games

There has been an alarming trend in the video game industry that has gone unnoticed for the most part by christian parents. Well, video games in general have never been seen as productive ways to spend time by parents, however adults have always looked at them as just games, you know harmless.

I have noticed a trend in the video game industry lately. Several of the top games today have made it mandatory to pay homage to greek/roman gods in order to progress in a game. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9EvP4NWW0T0

One in particular came out this week, Legend of Zelda Skyward Sword, (called the greatest Zelda game ever!!) nintendo has made it mandatory for your character to pray to a goddess in order to save your progress. This is idolatry, and it is alarming to me that children are required to join, be indoctrinated, and be actively involved in a religion in order to participate in a game with most of this going on unbeknownst to parents.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FoOd6Li-gaE

I had been looking forward to playing the game, but when I saw that my character had to pray to a so called goddess just to save my progress, I turned the game off.  Now how many people will be willing to do that after paying $50?  At the very least we need a new rating category for religious references! Let me give a list of games, just the ones I briefly played, that follow this same scheme.

God of War I, II, III (playstation 3)
Devil May Cry I, II, III, IV(playstation 3, xbox 360)
Dantes Inferno (playstation 3, xbox 360)
Darksiders (playstation 3, xbox 360)
Viking (playstation 3, xbox 360)
Skyrim (playstation 3, xbox 360)
Assassins Creed 1-7  (playstation 3, xbox 360)

This is just a small sampling of the games. I have not included games where you summon demons to do your bidding like YuGiOh and Pokemon or games that involve witchcraft like Harry Potter, and Bayonetta. Please understand that this type of warfare has reached epic proportions. Where is the Southern Baptist Convention or other religious organizations?

Keep in mind that the average game is considered successful when it sells around 4 million copies, this is considered a great selling, successful game. The Legend of Zelda Skyward Sword is expected to sell well over 20 million copies. Wow! And how many of those copies are going to unsuspecting christian adolescents? What's your opinion, let me know...

Present Day Ride of The Four Horsemen

This is more for discussion than anything, but there could be a case made for a present-day ride of the four horseman of the apocalypse. Let's examine Revelation 6.

Revelation 6

1And I saw when the Lamb opened one of the seals, and I heard, as it were the noise of thunder, one of the four beasts saying, Come and see.

2And I saw, and behold a white horse: and he that sat on him had a bow; and a crown was given unto him: and he went forth conquering, and to conquer. [(Did anyone notice how the whole of Europe united under one currency, the Euro, without any battle, without parliamentary debate, without anyone taking great notice? Could the first Horseman be at work here?)]

3And when he had opened the second seal, I heard the second beast say, Come and see.

4And there went out another horse that was red: and power was given to him that sat thereon to take peace from the earth, and that they should kill one another: and there was given unto him a great sword.  [(Anyone notice the fall of Russia (Communism is referred to as the "Red Army")and all the waring states which emerged from the ashes of it? How many wars is this country currently fighting, (Libya, Iraq, Afghanistan, Kuwait, Iran/Pakistan)? Four? That's just the wars we are fighting, this is not counting the continuous wars in Africa and Israel(Middle East).]

5And when he had opened the third seal, I heard the third beast say, Come and see. And I beheld, and lo a black horse; and he that sat on him had a pair of BALANCES in his hand. [(Who isn't feeling the pinch right now, caused by high prices? The wealthy, that's who! The stock market crash caused a massive redistribution of wealth, that has affected the global economy. How many times do we hear daily that we are going into uncharted territory; this has never happened before. And what advice do we get from the Wallstreet pros? They all suggest a BALANCED approach to investing. I'm just saying, what I'm saying)]

6And I heard a voice in the midst of the four beasts say, A measure of wheat for a penny, and three measures of barley for a penny; and see thou hurt not the oil and the wine. [(There are two things unaffected by this whole global collapse; the price of oil never drops and gold has shot through the roof! "The oil and the wine", is also another term for the wealthy.  I submit to you that an argument could be made that three of the four horseman have already ridden and the fourth well, that's up for debate, just like everything else!!)]

7And when he had opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth beast say, Come and see.

8And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him. And power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with death, and with the beasts of the earth.

John Hurt: Make Me a Pallet on Your Floor (Remix)

[Mississippi John Hurt]Make Me a Pallet on Your Floor
video
Make me down a pallet on your floor
Make me down
Make me a pallet down, soft and low
Make me a pallet on your floor
Oh make me down
Make me down
Make me a pallet down, soft and low
Make me a pallet on your floor
Up the country
Up the country by the cold sleet and snow
I'm going up the country
By the cold sleet and slow

I'm going up the country by the cold sleet and snow
No telling how much further I may go
Oh make me down
Make me down
Make me a pallet down, soft and low
Make me a pallet on your floor

[Michael Green Remix]
Lord, build me  up a pallet on your floor
I stand at heaven's gate but angels bar the door
Let your word usher me in
Oh Good Lord be my friend
Can I please come inside, I won't sin no more
Make me down a pallet on your floor
Make me down a pallet on your floor
Build me up a pallet high, soft and low
Make me to lie down high upon your floor

Make me down a pallet on your floor
Make me down a pallet on your floor
That ole devil tricked me down below
He wanted to make my bed, forever down below
To burn forever with the spark and tow
But to his surprise, you pulled the wool from my eyes

Make me down a pallet on your floor
Jesus make me down a place to dwell with you
I know your grace will quickly see me through
So I may forever rest and dwell with you
Jesus make me down a place on high with you
Jesus make me down
Jesus make me down a place to dwell with you
Satan wanted me in Hell without you
Lord, that ole devil tried to treat me just like he treated you
Like Peter you warned me of his desire, to sort and sift me too
But I leaned on you to help see and get me through
Jesus make me down a place to dwell with you
Make me down a pallet on your floor
Let's keep this quiet, don't let that ole devil know
Ain't no telling what he'd do if he knew
Make me down a pallet on your floor
I don't need no mansion I'll lay in peace at heaven's door
But to his surprise you told my soul to rise
Jesus make me down a place in your high-rise
Make me a pallet high, soft and low
Make me a pallet on your floor

Holy Separation

Brothers, I will use this opportunity to further define my goal here, perhaps this is the right time, perhaps not but this is the chosen time.  Each Christian must reconcile some ideals within himself by his own conscience, but one must not use this liberty as an excuse or shield.  Many times I bring ideas to the table here without taking them as far as I want to take them because I respect each person's liberty in Jesus Christ; I leave it up to you to reconcile the idea with Jesus Christ, but sometimes I go further.  Here we go....

There are many instances in the bible that refer to dead bodies as being unclean and exposure to a dead body makes a person unclean.  (Now here someone is thinking that this was old testament ceremonial cleanness, but keep in mind that Paul talks about not using Jesus Christ for/as a means of breaking the law [Romans 6:15] because Jesus is the fulfillment of the law.  So don't stop reading because you feel that Jesus did away with this law because he did not.  Jesus did away with the penalty for breaking the law, please see the difference...)  There are also times in the bible where God makes a statement like, {this is to be observed forever}so you can't just dismiss what God has stressed forever)

Jesus Christ is the Head of the Church and when they took him down from the cross where did they take him?[Luke 23:52-53]  Now where would we take him if he had died in this day and age?  Well after the coroner examined his body, he would most certainly have been taken to a church sanctuary for a going home service; the local choir would have sang him to heaven and we no doubt would hear from the pastor about some of his good deeds.  Now let me take the time to state here that in life and death Jesus fulfilled all of the laws and rituals commanded/given by God, that's just what he did, you must believe that to be a Christian; this is basic doctrine.  Now, since we are all in agreement up to this point let me pose this question.  Why wasn't Jesus taken to the temple for burial (perhaps presented to God as a sacrifice)?  Well, because it was not God's will, that's why.

[Ezekiel 43:6-12] God tells Ezekiel, that the temple has been defiled because when men died, they were buried too close/near to the temple.  Now the bodies were not even brought into the temple (as we do today), the temple was defiled because bodies were buried to near it (Now sit and think about that for however long it takes for the truth to sink in).  As I spoke of earlier God uses the terms "forever" and "law of the house" in these verses.  In other words, do you call your place of worship, "The House of God"?  If so then obey the law of the house.  Now have we kept the law of the house, that was to be kept forever?  I can't count how many times I've walked through a church cemetery, just to get to the sanctuary (sometimes, cemeteries are too close to the building).  (Now some astute person is thinking that years ago, the church was the only place willing to bury certain people, therefore the cemeteries became overrun and became too close to the church.....Well, you are correct my friend but that only proves my point, the process that led to the condition was started by the enemy to place us in violation!!!)

Now I doubt that churches will ever stop having funerals in the sanctuary, and I'm not advocating moving bodies from their resting places, but when new churches are built, this should be kept in mind and be a part of the planning process.  Now, moving forward we should be in compliance because by our traditions we have setup ourselves to worship in continual uncleanness, rebellion, and lawlessness.  I'm just saying that we could make things easier on Sunday mornings if we kept the law of the house, that's all.  That's it, My job is done, peace!!

The Thief

There is a song by the Canton Spirituals, The Thief  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DI0Ok6yTg8g, in which a thief at the end of life rebukes another thief for not fearing God [Luke 23:39-42].  Today we see many people with a lack of character [Romans 3:11-18], people that make poor choices, people that live in the world, and I wonder how a thief 2000 years ago, a person most would consider to be of the worst sort, could have more character than those considered to be godly people.  Well, it would seem that this thief realized that there are some lines that shouldn't be crossed!  So let's examine this....

Well there are many great men in the bible, I could name many many great men found therein, many prosperous men, and all of them would have a common trait; they feared God.  Name a great man in the bible that didn't fear God and lived a long life...

Solomon, the wisest man in the bible, examined many things, and deeply searched out the meanings of many things and this is what he said at the end of Ecclesiastes.  (Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.) [Ecclesiastes 12:13]  What did Solomon mean by the conclusion of the whole matter?  He was referring to all the questions we have in life; questions about our future, questions about who we should marry, what job offer we should accept, what church to attend....  Solomon and the Thief came to that same conclusion(sometimes we are our wisest when facing death), when he faced the end of his life, the Thief had the same choice that day that he faced everyday.  He said, "Will I fear God today?"  And because he did Jesus said, "Verily I say unto thee, To day shalt thou be with me in paradise." [Luke 23:43]  A man that wants to be with Jesus for eternity, has to fear God.

The fear of God, should be taught by parents; both David and Solomon (Father and Son) wrote that the fear of God is the beginning of wisdom [Psalms 111:10, Proverbs 9:10].  This is no coincidence!  A Godly man will have Godly sons!  (The fear of God was also taught from Naomi to Ruth, David's ancestor)

I could go further, but I don't want you to miss the point here... Satan is a Thief and I tell you that you won't ever experience the joy of being acknowledged by the Father.  The joy of being welcomed into heaven if you fail to be approved by Jesus; don't allow Satan to steal that honor away from you.  The point of this article is this, at the end of the day did you fear God?  Read the last verse of Ecclesiastes....

What is a Valley?

A valley is a broad depression between two high points(mountains). It may be natural to get down when going through trials, but we are to rejoice when we find ourselves in valley moments; we are not to be depressed. (And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience; And patience, experience; and experience, hope:) [Romans 5:3-4] A Valley  represents temptation, dangerous trials, and tribulation, however we know that the testing of faith inexplicably builds character and from this experience we develop hope. We soon find that we are not ashamed of our low points in life because we have hope. (And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us. For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly.) [Romans 5:5-6] When we find ourselves in the valley of the shadow of death, in the darkness between two mountains, we have hope because Jesus is our light and without Him the shadow could not even be possible(Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.) [John 8:12]. We will soon be pulled from the valley and restored to proper standing with Jesus, in the light. As Christians we have nothing to fear. We must remember that, there is no torment in this world or the next, because Jesus paid the price for us on Calvary; we are redeemed and covered with his blood. (There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.) [1 John 4:18] I myself have feared many things, but we are not to fear but have faith in Jesus who lives within us. Christ has already overcome the world(These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.) [John 16:33 ], but we must walk in Christ's victory; if we wish to share in it, Christ must live within us. Jesus himself said that God is always with him because he always does the things which please the father (And he that sent me is with me: the Father hath not left me alone; for I do always those things that please him.) [John 8:29]. Do those things which please God!

Oath Of Friendship

Friendship is a sacred appointed position. I believe that a friend should take an oath similar to that which a doctor swears. A friend should always help and never hinder. It is said that, “to him that is afflicted pity should be shown from his friend.”(JOB 6:14) I have been elated to see in these last years that my laughter is shared, but saddened to see my pain spread more freely. A man’s troubles should not bring happiness to his friends but time and time again I see it happen. It seems to me that much like doctors some friends take a “Hippo-critic Oath.” If there is a time for scorn then surely there must be a time for praise. I challenge my friends now to standup and answer the call and be found worthy of their post. I’m reminded of a quote from The Tragedy of Julius Caesar. “Friends, Romans, Countrymen, lend me your ears! I come to bury Caesar not praise him.” I wholeheartedly expect that my apparent funeral eulogy will be converted into a rallying cry for the blood of my enemies. They wish to see my ruin but if I should fall much like Caesar it will take three good men to fill my position! I no longer wish my friends to stand behind me, but in front of me to shield me from the storm or if they dare; turn around, face me and see why friendship is the wiser stance.

The Oath of Friendship

You do solemnly swear, by the most sacred of trusts...
That you will be loyal to the post of a friend and just and generous to its members. That you will lead your lives and practice your art in uprightness and honor. That into whatsoever conversation you shall enter, it shall be for the good of your friend. You do so swear to the utmost of your power, your holding yourselves far aloof from wrong, from corruption, from the tempting of others to vice. From all undo evil. That you will exercise your art solely for the benefit of your friend, and will give no information, perform no inquiry, for the purposes of slander, even if solicited, and far less suggest it.
You do solemnly swear that whatsoever you shall see or hear of the lives of men or women which is not fitting to be spoken, that you will keep inviolably secret. These things do you swear. Let each bow the head as a sign of acquiescence. And now, if you will be true to this, your oath, may prosperity and good repute be ever yours; the opposite, if you shall prove yourselves forsworn.
